Job Title: Fund Manager – Portfolio Management Services (PMS)
Job Role:
The Fund Manager – PMS will be responsible for the management and administration of client portfolios under the Portfolio Management Service. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of capital markets, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and fulfill the ‘fit and proper’ criteria as prescribed by SEBI.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute portfolio strategies in alignment with client investment objectives and risk appetite.
Conduct in-depth analysis of equity markets, macroeconomic indicators, and sectoral trends.
Perform technical and fundamental analysis to evaluate individual securities.
Monitor portfolio performance and rebalance investments when necessary.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines issued by SEBI.
Prepare investment reports and communicate regularly with clients.
Collaborate with internal teams including research analysts, operations, and compliance.
Participate in investor meetings and support business development efforts.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of the Indian stock market (particularly listed equities) and its functioning.
Proficiency in fundamental and technical analysis of securities.
Deep knowledge of investment products and portfolio construction.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
High integrity, ethical standards, and decision-making abilities.
Operational efficiency and client-centric approach.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the securities market, with at least 2 years in one or more of the following areas:
Portfolio Management
Fund Management
Investment Advisory
Eligible experience includes roles at:
A registered fund house or asset management company
A reputed broking firm
As a SEBI-registered Research Analyst
As a SEBI-registered Investment Advisor
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least one of the following:
A professional qualification such as CA, CS, CFA Charter, LLB, or
A postgraduate degree in securities markets from NISM (minimum duration of 1 year)
Relevant NISM certification for PMS as mandated by SEBI
