It provides seed funding, mentorship, and corporate connections to startups across various sectors, including fintech, health tech, retail tech, and consumer technology. The firm has backed over 110 startups and operates in more than 55 cities in India and internationally.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Investment Analyst to join our SME Fund team in Mumbai. This is a high-impact role focused on identifying, evaluating, and managing investments across listed and unlisted small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The ideal candidate will possess deep analytical capabilities, proven deal-making experience, and a strategic understanding of India’s evolving SME landscape.

You will work directly with leadership and cross-functional teams on deal sourcing, anchor investment structuring, portfolio monitoring, and exits, helping shape a fund that bridges the gap between early-stage investing and pre-IPO growth capital.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Sourcing & Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in listed and unlisted SMEs.
- Conduct in-depth business, financial, and sectoral due diligence.
- Develop robust financial models, valuation analyses, and investment theses.
Deal Structuring & Execution
- Lead and negotiate anchor positions in private placements and public market deals.
- Structure investments to optimize risk-return and ensure strategic positioning.
Portfolio Management
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies.
- Engage with promoters and management to support value creation.
- Identify and execute exit strategies, including IPOs, secondary sales, or M&A.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and leverage a strong network of promoters, merchant bankers, brokers, and co-investors.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory updates, and capital market activity.

Candidate Profile:

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, SME investing, or buy-side roles.
- Proven experience in deal evaluation, execution, and structuring, particularly within the SME space.
Skills:
- Strong financial modelling, business analysis, and due diligence capabilities.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, fundraising cycles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Education (Preferred, not Mandatory):
- CFA, CA, or MBA (Finance) from a Tier-1 institution.
- Experience in IPO-bound transactions and familiarity with merchant banking processes.
Domain Exposure (Preferred):
- Exposure to sectors such as manufacturing, B2B services, industrials, or consumer-focused SMEs.
