Mainframe developer with Pacbase

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with expertise in MVS COBOL, JCL, DB2, and Pacbase. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coding, testing, implementation, support, and documentation of system processes while ensuring seamless integration with interface systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using MVS COBOL, JCL, DB2, and Pacbase.

  • Design, code, and test stored procedures and other database components.

  • Implement and support interface systems while ensuring smooth system operations.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of system processes.

  • Manage assignments independently and ensure timely project completion.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support outside normal business hours as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of IT experience with expertise in resolving user technology issues.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft/PC fundamentals.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and provide on-call support as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year educational qualification) in a relevant field.
